    In January, Vigan is celebrating the City Fiesta and Longganisa Festival. A festival highlighting the towns cultural and ecological history. Beginning on January 16, there will be a long week of celebration in honor of St. Paul the Apostle. Nine days of novena mass will be offered and St. Paul visited barangay chapels. On the 9th day of the novena, there is a eucharistic celebration followed by a solemn procession participated by the different patron saints of every barangays. 

    After two years and a half, the streets of Vigan City are once again filled with colorful displays, carnivals, and folks dancing on the streets. On the feast day, grand celebration, including the celebration of the holy eucharist was attended by many parishioners. There was also a grand parade participated by different organizations. In addition, thousands of residents and foreign visitors usually attend the celebration. In an unusually hot and sunny afternoon, a crowd of folks eagerly waited in the side streets to catch a sight of Longganisa street dance. Street dancers dress in silky, brightly colored outfits, and some even wear abel. The street dancers showcase their creativity and elegance with captivating smiles and looks that compliment their dances along Vigan's streets.

    

    The contestants clashed in an intense battle. I saw them as they fought and danced for sweet victory. My eyes were mesmerized as I watched them. It was colorful, loud, and most importantly, enjoyable, and I was there to see all of it.

Another quarter comes to an end, but the learnings we gained remain. In ICT, I gained a lot of knowledge throughout the second quarter. I now understand HTML tags and will do better in the future. Based on these learnings, I believe I can apply my abilities practically every aspect of my daily life and share to others what I have learned.

HTML was introduced to us as a lesson for this quarter. We had many interesting activities on our second quarter journey, including quizzes. This topic satisfied my expectations; they were easy for me to know and understand since I was interested in them. There were certain things I didn't fully understand, but thanks to my teacher for pushing us to love and to value every topic discussed. And to my classmates for helping me to manage and go on.

By ending this quarter, I want to thank God because he help me survive another journey in studying. To my family, for motivating and supporting me and serves as my inspiration. Praying that my hardships will bring me to become successful someday and may lead for a brighter tomorrow.

" New Chance to Create your Dreams "

    A new year, a fresh start, and fresh memories to cherish. A new opportunity to better myself, step outside of my comfort zone, and move on from the things that have hurt me in the past. Taking chances might be scary, but it would be a great achievement for me. Last year, I lost a lot of chances because I was afraid I wouldn't be successful. But because I was mistaken, I want to try everything this year to ease the regret I feel.

    2022 helps me realize my worth. It may not be the best year for me, but some people made it memorable. They were the ones who stood by my side, even when I was at my lowest. For me, the custom of generating new years resolutions is popular. People set specific goals for themselves to fulfill in that year. This year, I want to live my life to the fullest. Try and explore new things, manage my time better and spend more time with my family and friends. 

    It is not the end, therefore I will continue to pursue my ambitions as long as I have the opportunity. I'm hoping that this year will be really kind to me, help me get rid of all the hate in my heart, and help me get over the painful things that have happened in the past. Less heartbreak, less pain, and no more tears from the eye. Hoping to survive this year again. And with that, the 2022 season comes to an end, goodbye.

Unexpected

" Unexpected " 

    Christmas is a Christian holiday that commemorates the birth of Jesus. Children are singing Christmas carols, and families are beginning to prepare food and themselves for Christmas Eve. But before we can rejoice, we must first attend Misa de Gallo or Simbang Gabi. People enjoy Christmas because it is a time for giving and sharing gifts and blessings, especially to youngsters and needy. The pandemic really changed a lot. 

    My Christmas is getting boring. It's not about how I celebrate it, it's about the thought of getting older and being mature enough to not feel the spirit of Christmas. How I wish those times I had before would still remain, but no, everything has changed. I miss the genuine pleasure, love, and nostalgia that Christmas brings. No magic, because I felt like there was something missing. It will never be the same as before. I know it's not as easy as a blink of an eye, but, well, I guess wishing is the only thing I can do now.

    But expect the unexpected. I enjoyed my Christmas last year because of her. Her presence made it special and memorable. Even though we only spent a little time together, she made my Christmas possible. It makes me complete.
